Training for Federal Public Service Employees

English and French as Second Languages
The training services offered by the Caron Training Centre include basic and advanced courses in French and English. All types of courses are offered: regular, immersion and continuous, as well as full-time and part-time courses. Regardless of their location in Canada, learners who have begun their training with us can be assured that they can pick up where they left off should they transfer to another location. Training is offered at our offices, at the clients’ offices as well as on various virtual platforms.

Part-Time - Individual or Group
This training program is designed to meet the needs of clients who wish to offer private, semi-private and group training to their employees on a part-time basis. In general, training is offered to meet statutory and developmental needs in English and French. Three sessions are normally offered per year.

Full-Time - Group
This training program meets the client's need to provide full-time training in a group environment to their employees. The focus of this program is to prepare students for the B and C levels of the Public Service Commission exams. Through a partnership agreement, the Caron Training Centre has trained hundreds of groups (between 4 and 8 participants per group) and individual participants in French and English for the Canada School of Public Service, helping a multitude of federal public servants achieve the desired levels.

Upon request, we can provide a detailed language assessment and a training proposal that includes the recommended training time, the learner's current level and the linguistic points to be worked on to reach the desired level in the second language.

Full time - Individual (immersion)
This program meets the client's need to provide full-time, one-on-one training to their employees. The immersion program is used primarily by federal public servants who want to achieve the required standard of bilingualism more quickly.

Conversation courses: 17 levels (50-60 hours per level)
Business writing course: 5 levels (60 hours per level)

Corporate FSL Courses
Basic Training/French Conversation and Business Writing
Conversation courses: 6 levels (200 hours per level)
